Police were deployed in large numbers in Dearborn, Michigan, on August 18 after an anti-Islam “Christian Crusader March” led by Jake Lang took place outside the Henry Ford Centennial Library.
The rally, held ahead of a city council meeting, drew counter-protesters from Dearborn's large Arab-American community, prompting a heavy police presence, crowd-control measures and barriers around the area.
According to reports, police made 22 misdemeanor arrests during the confrontation. No injuries were reported.
