This is the moment a police sergeant on his lunch break rescues a pensioner who is choking at a nearby table by performing the Heimlich manoeuvre.

The footage was obtained from the Miami Beach Police Department (MBPD) and shows the incident on West Eighth Avenue in the city of Hialeah, in the US state of Florida, on August 15.
