Family drive through flooded roads in northern Thailad

A family were swamped by rising floodwaters as they drove home after heavy rain in northern Thailand.

Footage shows the brown deluge splashing onto the windscreen of the vehicle in Chiang Mai on Monday. The region has been hit by more floods, just days after Typhoon Yagi caused devastation, killing at least 10 people and leaving thousands more displaced. Hundreds more lost their lives in neighbouring Myanmar and Vietnam while hundreds of thousands were displaced across Southeast Asia and China.
