Firemen removed a huge python coiled on a wall in the Philippines.
Footage shows a firefighter climbing a ladder to retrieve the snake coiled along with live wires on the concrete post in Tagbilaran City, Bohol, on January 24.
Using a snake-catching pole, he reached the head of the reptile and carefully grabbed it with his hands.
Although the snake attempted to bite the official, his tight grip rendered it helpless. They uncoiled the tail of the snake from the wires, taking turns holding its head while removing it.
The animal was surrendered to the Department of Environment and Natural Resources to relocate the animal away from the residents.
Pythons are nonvenomous constrictor snakes known for their large and powerful bodies. They prey on mammals, birds, and reptiles and can take down animals as big as pigs or cows.
