Wildfire smoke covers motorway in southern France as flames jump the carriageway

Thick smoke engulfed a motorway as a wildfire burned alongside it in France and moved towards a protected mountain range.

Footage from September 21 shows the fire near Fleury and Salles-d'Aude in Aude, Occitanie, between the city of Narbonne and the Mideterranean Sea.
