This is the terrifying moment a drum of used oil explodes without warning inside a workshop and swallows a mechanic in a fireball as his colleagues scramble clear.

CCTV shows the incident in the Tabuleiro neighbourhood of the town of Jaguaruana, in the Brazilian state of Ceara, on August 17.
