Rare porpoise pod plays in River Thames near Gravesend, Kent

The crew of Gravesend's lifeboat 'Olive Laura Deare II' had a surprising encounter with nature on the River Thames on February 25.

As they were returning to the station after a job at Crossness, they spotted three porpoises swimming towards them at Northfleet.
