An abandoned newborn baby girl was rescued alive from a wheelie bin in Thailand.

Panya Chaiwong, 46, was taking the trash outside her home in the Nanai district of Phuket on January 1 when she found the baby lying inside a tied-up garbage bag with the umbilical cord still attached to its body.
