Footage shows the deserted streets of Yangon in Myanmar on Friday December 10 as locals unite with a 'Silence Strike' to show their anger at authoritarian rule by the military.

Shops and market stalls were closed with normally busy streets eerily quiet following scenes of violence last Saturday and this week.
