A mysterious sea creature was filmed wriggling on the palm of a scientist in Oregon.

Zooplanktologist Alejandro Damian-Serrano identified the strange, multi-legged creature as a Cystisoma on September 23. Footage shows the Cystisoma flailing in Alejandro's palm, with its vibrant orange eye cells contrasting with its clear body.
