China fires rockets into clouds to bring rain and ease drought

Weather officials used rockets to facilitate cloud seeding and bring rain to ease drought conditions in China.

Operators from the Wugang Meteorological Bureau of Hunan fired several rockets into the sky during overcast weather on September 17. Light to moderate rain fell soon after, according to the China Meteorological Administration.
