Women's faces were erased from murals in Kabul days after the Taliban seized Afghanistan's capital city.

Onlooker Fazila Baloch recorded an unidentified man spray painting over women's faces at a beauty salon in Kabul on August 18. The act of vandalism came just a day after the Taliban bizarrely vowed to uphold equal rights for women 'within the framework of Islamic law'.
