Steel bridge washed away as flash floods hit China

A steel bridge was washed away after flash floods hit Jianyang District, the northern part of Fujian province in China this morning (June 28).

The bridge collapsed after a torrent of broken branches and driftwood rushed downstream, causing the water level to rise rapidly in under 10 hours.
