Hundreds of concrete reef balls were lowered into North Carolina waters, as separate underwater footage revealed schools of fish swimming around artificial reefs made from recycled construction materials.
Footage captured on October 29 shows a crane lowering concrete reef balls from the research vessel Oyster Creek into Pamlico Sound, where the structures splash into the water and sink beneath the surface.
