Heavy gate collapses on woman during flood preparation in Chonburi, Thailand on September 25, 2026.

A woman noticed heavy rain and water levels rising around her home in Chonburi province. Wanting to prevent the floodwaters from entering her property, she went outside to stack sandbags along her front gate. As it was growing dark, she decided to close the gate first, reasoning that its heavy, solid design could block the water without needing too many sandbags.
