Soldier Pulls Out Red Ring Box And Wins A Yes As Fellow Troops And Crowds Cheer In Madrid

Madrid, Spain – A Spanish military emergency response soldier proposed to his partner with a red ring box on October 12, 2026, as fellow troops and cheering civilians watched ahead of the country’s National Day military parade. The soldier, a member of the Military Emergency Unit, wore a black uniform and beige beret as he presented the ring to his partner, who was dressed in jeans and a green top. The couple embraced as nearby service members smiled and watched. Civilians on the sidewalk clapped and filmed the emotional moment on their phones. The Spanish Ministry of Defense shared the footage, confirming that she had accepted the proposal and wishing the couple well. It was the first of two public marriage proposals by military personnel during the National Day celebrations in Madrid, with a separate proposal by an Air Force member taking place later that morning.
