Soldier Drops To One Knee And Proposes To Girlfriend During Spain’s Armed Forces Day Parade

Spain – A Spanish soldier surprised his girlfriend with a marriage proposal during the country’s Armed Forces Day celebrations on October 12, 2026, kneeling in front of her as fellow service members stood in formation nearby. Wearing a dark blue uniform and beret, the soldier got down on one knee in front of the woman, who wore a white dress. She accepted the proposal, and the couple embraced and kissed as the formation watched. The woman then showed off her engagement ring and smiled toward the camera, while the soldiers remained at attention with their rifles. The Spanish Ministry of Defense shared the moment, noting that the couple had decided to get engaged in front of their comrades during the 2026 Armed Forces Day event.
