Fifteen people travelling from Maharashtra to Delhi to participate in the proposed Cockroach Janata Party protest were stopped at Itarsi Railway Station in Madhya Pradesh.
The group, comprising 12 men and three women, had reportedly boarded the Goa Express on Thursday evening.
They were deboarded at Itarsi Junction and prevented from continuing their journey to Delhi, where the CJP has planned a protest at Jantar Mantar on October 10.
The proposed demonstration is seeking the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar and raising concerns over electoral-roll revisions. Delhi Police has denied permission for the gathering, citing law-and-order and public-safety concerns.
Latest: Delhi Police says prohibitory restrictions are in force in the capital and has warned that unauthorised gatherings could invite legal action. More than 20,000 security personnel have reportedly been deployed ahead of the planned mobilisation.
