Heavy Rain Causes Flooding and Power Outage in Alcanar, Spain

Torrential rain caused flooding and a power outage in Alcanar, Spain, during the early hours of October 2, 2026. Footage shows large amounts of water gushing from a drain onto a flooded street and parking area near residential buildings. Alcanar and other towns across Terres de l'Ebre received more than 200mm of rain within hours, leading to flash flooding, vehicle rescues, road closures and power outages in the region.
