Schoolboy Attacked by Troop of Monkeys in Mathura, Milkman Steps In to Rescue Him

A schoolboy was attacked by a troop of monkeys in a narrow lane in Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, on September 30, 2026. CCTV footage shows several monkeys surrounding the child as he was reportedly on his way to school. The animals can be seen moving through the lane as residents and passers-by try to navigate the area. A milkman eventually intervened and confronted the monkeys, forcing them to scatter and allowing the child to escape. The incident has drawn attention to the recurring problem of monkey attacks in parts of Mathura and Vrindavan. A similar CCTV-recorded monkey attack on a five-year-old boy in Vrindavan in July 2024 also showed several monkeys attacking and dragging the child before local residents intervened
