Heavy Rain Floods Streets in Tokyo as Typhoon Dujuan Hits Kanto Region

Heavy rain caused flooding in parts of Tokyo on September 21 as Typhoon Dujuan affected the Kanto region. Streets were covered with water as vehicles moved through the rain and pedestrians walked with umbrellas under bright city lights. The storm brought record rainfall to parts of the region, including more than 600 millimetres recorded on Izu Oshima, triggering the highest-level landslide warnings and disrupting transport.
