DUI Suspect Runs Into Florida Swamp With Two Children After Crash

Lakeland, FL – A man accused of driving under the influence ran into a swamp carrying two children after crashing on Highway 33 near North Combee Road at around 4:00 a.m. Friday, according to the Lakeland Police Department.

The vehicle reportedly went through a road-closure sign and sandbags before entering a construction area and coming to rest against exposed tree roots.
