Stolen Police Cruiser Crashes Through Dayton House After Wild Pursuit

Dayton, Ohio – Around 11:45 p.m. on September 3, Dayton officers were working a crash at West Third Street and Gettysburg Avenue when a Toyota SUV drove through the blocked intersection, triggering a short pursuit.

Police said the driver ran into a backyard before circling back and stealing a Dayton police cruiser, striking another cruiser while fleeing. A second pursuit lasted about two minutes before the stolen cruiser crashed through a house in the 2300 block of Greenway Street near Leland Avenue.
