Emu Escapes New York Petting Zoo And Leads Police On Wild Chase

Rockland County, New York – An emu escaped from a local petting zoo Saturday, prompting a police chase involving multiple officers and a drone.

The Town of Ramapo Police Department said officers were called after “an emu decided to make a break for it from a local petting zoo.” Officers located the “feathered fugitive,” but said convincing the bird that its adventure was over “took a little teamwork.”
