CCTV Captures Chilli Powder Robbery at SBI Branch in Nagpur

A robbery at an SBI branch in Nagpur’s Sakkardara area was caught on CCTV. The accused, identified as Suraj Borkar, allegedly threw chilli powder into the eyes of bank employees after they collected cash from an ATM-cum-Cash Deposit Machine. He then snatched a bag containing ₹4.53 lakh and fled. The employees raised an alarm, prompting police to launch a chase. The accused was caught a short distance away, and police recovered the entire ₹4.53 lakh from him. Investigators suspect Borkar had conducted prior reconnaissance of the bank and its cash movement. Further legal action is underway.
