The water treatment plant currently under construction at the Dehri anicut in Rohtas district has been completely submerged due to the rising water level of the Son River. It is worth noting that former Chief Minister Nitish Kumar had laid the foundation stone for this plant at the Son River anicut on September 2, 2024. A few months ago, while serving as Chief Minister, he had even visited Dehri to inspect the site. However, the entire under-construction plant has now been inundated due to the surge in the river's water level.
It is worth noting that construction work costing crores of rupees was underway here, with operations continuing day and night for the past two years. However, the entire system has suddenly been engulfed by water. As seen in the images, expensive equipment worth crores has been submerged, and the constructed structure is also completely underwater. Reports suggest that some items have even been washed away by the water; however, there is no one present at the site right now, as everyone has evacuated the area.
