Waterspout Erupts Over Gulf As Towering Funnel Stuns Pensacola Beach Watchers

Pensacola Beach, Florida – Video filmed by X user RB Hodl’er shows a fully formed waterspout spinning over the Gulf of Mexico off Pensacola Beach on the morning of September 7, 2026.

The funnel drops from a dark storm base to the water, kicking up a spray ring at the surface. It remains over the Gulf throughout the footage, while white sand, turquoise nearshore water, palm trees and mid-rise condos fill the foreground.
