A nearly 150-year-old Shiva temple has been swallowed by the Ganga River in Malda’s Ratua-I block, West Bengal, after severe riverbank erosion.
The temple stood at Muliram Tola under Mahanandatola Gram Panchayat. Dramatic visuals show the river rapidly eating away at the temple’s foundations before the structure collapses into the turbulent waters, as villagers watch helplessly.
