A Qantas Boeing 737 operating flight QF122 from Queenstown to Sydney was forced to divert to Christchurch on September 5 after flames and loud bangs were seen coming from its left engine shortly after takeoff. Footage captured by @emilyvictoriaru shows bursts of orange flames emerging from the engine as the aircraft climbed into the sky. The aircraft landed safely in Christchurch around 52 minutes later, with no injuries reported among the roughly 160 passengers and crew on board. Qantas said a suspected engine issue was managed by its trained pilots, with both engines remaining operational. The incident is now under investigation. Video Credit: @emilyvictoriaru
