Severe weather battered Kitchener in Ontario on September 2, as torrential rain and powerful winds created extremely dangerous conditions.
Footage filmed by @likimtheonlyone shows near-zero visibility for drivers as heavy rain lashes the roads, while flying debris and strong winds can be seen battering trees and a parking lot.
Environment Canada issued severe thunderstorm and brief tornado warnings for the Waterloo region, with wind gusts reported at more than 110 kilometres per hour.
The storm brought down trees, caused power outages and triggered investigations into possible tornado damage across parts of the region.
