Major Fire Erupts in Ise Shopping Street, Thick Smoke Engulfs Dense Row of Wooden Buildings

A major fire broke out in Ise’s Meirin Shopping Street near Ujiyamada Station on August 31, sending thick black smoke over the area as flames spread through a dense row of wooden shops. Firefighters rushed to the scene as onlookers watched from nearby streets. Evacuation orders were issued for 249 households as crews battled the blaze. The fire was brought under control after around four and a half hours. No injuries were reported.
