Beachgoers create water-filled hole for stranded dolphin washed onto the sand

This is the moment beachgoers and police keep an injured dolphin wet in a water-filled hole dug in the sand as rescuers desperately try to save it.

The rescue took place at Shimei Bay tourist resort in Liji township, Wanning City, on the coast of Hainan province in southern China, on August 24.
