A powerful hailstorm battered Tarragona in Catalonia on August 24, 2026, turning city streets into a chaotic mix of hail, heavy rain and floodwater. Footage captured by @Info_meteocat shows cars moving cautiously through streets blanketed with hailstones, while torrential rain and extremely poor visibility make driving conditions hazardous. The storm brought intense rainfall of up to 77–89 litres per square metre, along with large hail and strong wind gusts.
