New Innova Pulled by Bull After RC Delay, Customer Stages Unique Protest in Moga

A Moga customer staged an unusual protest after his newly purchased Toyota Innova reportedly remained unregistered for nearly five months. Customer Davinderpal Singh claims he booked the vehicle for around ₹31.30 lakh. He says the dealership later informed him about a price increase and he paid an additional ₹54,000, but the vehicle’s registration certificate, or RC, was still not issued. According to Singh, when he approached the RTO office in Chandigarh for registration, officials pointed out a discrepancy between the amount shown on the vehicle’s bill and the amount recorded in the RTO system. He was reportedly told that the billing issue had to be corrected before the vehicle could be registered. Singh alleges that he repeatedly contacted the company and dealership officials but the issue remained unresolved. He claims billing for the vehicle was being handled from Ludhiana because of the absence of a billing facility at the Moga dealership, which he says was contributing to the delay. Singh says a dealership employee allegedly told him that he could now use the vehicle to carry fodder. Taking the remark as an insult, he loaded fodder onto his brand-new Innova and had the vehicle pulled by a bull along the GT Road and through parts of Moga as a form of protest. Singh is demanding that the billing discrepancy be resolved immediately and that the registration of his vehicle be completed. The dealership and Toyota have not yet issued an official response to the allegations.
