Severe Flooding Hits Japan as Homes, Streets and Cars Are Submerged Script: Severe flooding has hit parts of Japan following intense rainfall, with homes and streets inundated by murky, knee-deep water. Footage shared by @kyupura_ shows floodwater covering the area around their residence, with cars partially submerged and people wading through the water as heavy rain continues. Earlier images from the same location showed residents taking precautions by placing white sandbags at the entrance to keep floodwater out. Despite the efforts, water was seen seeping inside the property.
