Live for Your Mother”: iPhone EMI Dispute Ends in Tragedy as Teen and Parents Die in Maharashtra

A family dispute over an iPhone EMI payment took a tragic turn in Maharashtra’s Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar district, leaving an 18-year-old boy and his parents dead.
According to reports, the teenager had purchased an iPhone on instalments and was reportedly facing difficulty making the EMI payment. Following an argument with his father over the payment, he left home and went to Khawadya Hill in the Tisgaon area.
After learning where he had gone, his parents followed him. Police, fire brigade personnel, villagers and others also reached the spot and spent nearly three hours trying to convince the teenager to move away from the edge.
The emotional scene was captured on camera. People gathered at the location can be heard repeatedly pleading with the teenager to think about his mother, with one person heard saying, “Live for your mother.”
Despite the desperate appeals, the situation suddenly turned tragic.
The teenager’s father reportedly moved closer to him in an attempt to bring him back. During the effort, both are believed to have lost their balance and fallen into the gorge.
The teenager’s mother, who witnessed her husband and son fall, subsequently went over the edge as well.
All three family members died in the incident.
The tragedy has shocked the local community, with the circumstances surrounding the deaths now being investigated by police. The incident also highlights how financial pressure, family disputes and emotional distress can sometimes escalate with devastating consequences.
