Woman Narrowly Escapes as Roof and Debris Collapse During 4.8-Magnitude Earthquake in Granada

A dramatic scene was captured in Granada, Spain, after a magnitude 4.8 earthquake struck near Gójar on August 18. The footage shows a residential patio covered in rubble, broken roof tiles and debris following a structural collapse next to a brick house. According to the post by Granada resident @PEdritoLC, his mother-in-law had a narrow escape during the tremors, with the collapse occurring just centimetres away from her. The earthquake was part of an ongoing seismic swarm in the Granada metropolitan area, which has been causing tremors and localized damage in several nearby towns, including Alhendín and Las Gabias.
