A major fire broke out at a car storage warehouse in Louvres, in France’s Val-d’Oise department, near Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport and Goussainville, sending a huge column of black smoke into the sky.
The blaze erupted on August 11, prompting a major emergency response, with around 80 to 110 firefighters deployed to tackle the fire.
The intense smoke and firefighting operation temporarily affected activity at Charles de Gaulle Airport, with two runways closed for a period. Air traffic disruption remained limited, while some RER D train services were also affected, with certain stops temporarily halted.
Footage filmed by @sayah_nassim shows the enormous plume of dark smoke rising above the area as emergency crews worked to contain the blaze.
