Strong winds and rough seas batter Maui as Tropical Storm Lala approaches

Strong winds and rough ocean conditions were reported along Maui's coastline as Tropical Storm Lala approached Hawaii on August 16.

Footage from the Fairmont Kea Lani resort shows a red no-swimming flag whipping in powerful winds, while waves crash along the shoreline with whitecaps visible across the water. Despite the warning, several people can be seen near or in the water.
