Two Helpers Killed After Crane Overturns During Generator Lifting Operation in Panchkula

A tragic accident took place in the Industrial Area Phase 2 of Panchkula, where two young workers were killed after a crane overturned while a heavy generator was being lifted onto the roof of a building. According to preliminary information, the generator was being hoisted with the help of a crane when the crane became unbalanced due to the heavy load and toppled over. Two helpers, identified as 22-year-old Naveen and 23-year-old Manish, fell onto the road and sustained severe head injuries. Both died at the spot. The two deceased workers were reportedly from Himachal Pradesh and Bihar and were working with the crane team to assist in lifting heavy equipment. A CCTV recording of the incident has also emerged, capturing the accident. Following the incident, police from the Sector 19 police post reached the spot and began investigating the circumstances that led to the crane overturning. Police officer Kamaljeet Singh said the matter is being investigated. The crane operator reportedly suffered minor injuries in the accident.
