Spain deploys military to Ceuta as migrants breach border barriers

Spain sent military personnel to the North African city of Ceuta as thousands of migrants broke through border barriers.

The deployment followed a request from Ceuta authorities for additional support from the central government in Madrid after the situation at the frontier escalated on Thursday, with large groups crossing the fence separating the city from Morocco.
