An England fan in Thailand says prayers at a Buddhist shrine ahead of the World Cup clash with Argentina.
Asian anglophile James Peerachart donned a red Three Lions jersey while giving offerings to the deity in Bangkok this afternoon.
Holding portraits of star players Harry Kane and Jude Bellingham, the football lover asked for the Gods to help the team beat long-time adversaries Argentina.
James shouted 'come on England' and 'Rule Britannia', summoning the strength of Britain's successful defence of the Falkland Islands against the Argentine invaders in 1982.
'I want with all my heart for England to win,' said James, who supports Arsenal.
'England is the home of football, it is the home of the Premier League, and the World Cup trophy must come home with Harry Kane and the boys.'
England plays Argentina in the 2026 World Cup semi-final at the Atlanta Stadium on Wednesday afternoon.
They will look to end 40 years of frustration following a World Cup defeat against Argentina in 1986, when a drug addict deliberately cheated by scoring with his hand - consigning the late Bobby Robson's team to defeat.
