Workers control crane remotely from inside building at a yard in China

Heavy-lifting operations are being carried out with improved safety and comfort through a new system that enables workers to control towering cranes from inside a building, rather than from an exposed cabin high above the ground.

The 5G-powered intelligent centralised control system has been rolled out in China, enabling machine operators to conduct lifting operations while remaining in secure, air-conditioned control rooms.
