Families of the final two missing miners broke down in tears after cave rescue operations in Laos were called off.

The rescue operation for the final two missing victims inside a cave in Xaisomboun province was halted on June 6 after two weeks because the area had become unstable and faced a risk of collapse, while the chances of a successful extraction were considered low.
