US Marines took part in a brutal training exercise designed to teach them how to survive after falling through ice in freezing Arctic conditions.
The drill took place in Setermoen, Norway, where Marines from the 2nd Air Naval Gunfire Liaison Company, part of the II Marine Expeditionary Force Information Group, practised staying calm and escaping from icy water.
