Tsunami warning sirens blare in Japan following Russia earthquake

A magnitude 8.8 quake struck off the eastern coast of Kamchatka at 8:25 am on Wednesday, July 30. The US Geological Survey reports that the quake occurred at a depth of 19.3 kilometres.
