Heavy rainfall creates waterfall from terraced rice paddies in China

Dozens of carefully terraced acres of rice paddy have been destroyed after heavy rains created a series of waterfalls that devastated the crop.

Chinese farmers labour all year to carefully prepare mud-lined pools before planting the crops carefully an equal distance apart, but the torrential rain devastated their hard work in Nanlong Township, which is in Kaiyang County in Guizhou, China, on June 29.
