Palestine supporters waving the country's flag called for a ceasefire in Gaza during a rally in Toronto, Canada On February 17.

The coastal strip has been blitzed by Israel in retaliation to an attack by Hamas at a music concert on October 7 last year. The long-running territorial conflict has since intensified, with many in the international condemning Israel and others in support of their right to defence.
