California researchers discover species showing promise in pest control applications

University of California Riverside researchers claim they have identified a new species of nematode that shows promise in controlling crop pests in warm, humid environments.
They said the creature, named Steinernema adamsi in honor of biologist Byron Adams, could potentially offer a sustainable alternative to chemical pesticides.
