Researchers have found that Matable ants in areas south of the Sahara have an exceptional way of caring for each other when they are wounded.
According to Dr. Erik Frank from Julius-Maximilians-Universitat (JMU) Wurzburg and Professor Laurent Keller from the University of Lausanne in Sqitzerland, these ants are capable of detecting infected wounds and treating them using their own antibiotics.
